Ingredients
- 6 Slices of Trader Joe’s Brioche or Pumpkin Brioche Twist
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 Cup Half & Half
- 1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Salted Butter, divided
Method
- 1)
Pre-heat your oven to 375°F and have a baking sheet covered with parchment or a silpat. In a large bowl, add 3 Large Eggs, 1 Cup Half & Half, 1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar and whisk very well until eggs are completely combined (you shouldn’t see any egg whites).
- 2)
Pour the custard into a 13×9 baking dish and place 6 slices of Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Brioche into the dish, let it sit for 2 mins then carefully flip over slices and let it soak for another 2 minutes. If there’s still custard at the bottom of the dish spoon it over the slices so all the custard is absorbed.
- 3)
Use medium-high heat and large non-stick skillet. Add 1 Tablespoon of Salted Butter, once the pan is hot cook 3 slices at once, about 1-2 minutes per side or until it’s lightly golden, place onto the baking sheet. Add the another 1 Tabelespoon of Butter to pan again and cook the last 3 slices, these may brown quicker since the pan will be hotter, place them onto the baking sheet. Put the pan into the pre-heated oven for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
