A simple, but elegant appetizer that’s quick and easy to make.  I used white sturgeon caviar (Germany), which has a delicate flavor with a light buttery finish . It’s one of the more affordable caviars, the cost is usually around $50 for 1 oz (28g)

Ingredients

  • 3 Slices White Bread
  • 1 oz / 28 g Caviar
  • ¼ Cup Creme Fraiche
  • 1½ Tablespoon Butter, melted

Method

  • 1)

Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Use a serrated bread knife and remove the crust from the bread slices. Cut each slice into 4 triangles (you should have 12 triangles). Place the bread onto a baking sheet and brush a light coating of melted butter on top of each slice. Bake at 400°F for about 6-7 minutes, they should be lightly toasted. Let them cool completely.

  • 2)

Spoon about 1 Teaspoon of crème fraîche onto each toast point. You can also use a piping bag with a small star tip if you’d like them to look more aesthetic. Top each toast point with caviar. Enjoy immediately
