This is how I made Korean BBQ at home with products that I gathered from Trader Joe’s – it was pretty amazing to have this wonderful meal at home with very little prep work and my kids always have a lot of fun grilling at the table.
Simple salad made with Baby Spring Mix + Trader Joe’s Carrot Ginger Miso Dressing
Sesame Oil Dip, this is always my favorite dip at Korean BBQ Restaurants. Made by mixing Tablespoon Toasted Sesame Oil mixed with ¼ Teaspoon Salt + ¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper
Ssamjang Dip (spicy Korean BBQ dip), this was the only thing not from Trader Joe’s so it’s totally optional, I used this basic recipe here
Potato Salad, one of my favorite side dishes for K-BBQ, I used this recipe here
Trader Joe’s Scallion Pancakes, I air fried these and they were perfectly crispy.
Thinly sliced jalapeños and garlic, use these in lettuce or jicama wraps.
I seasoned the salmon with salt & pepper, grilled them skin side down for about 90% of the cooking time so it the skin would get crispy, flipped to brown the tops a little before serving
Trader Joe’s Shaved Steak is a great substitute for the thin brisket you usually order at the restaurant. Enjoy by dipping in sesame or soy dipping sauces or use them to make a wrap.
At Korean BBQ Restaurants, they will give you thinly sliced daikon wrappers, Trader Joe’s Jicama Wraps are a great substitute
