Make delicious  teriyaki chicken bowls at home using Soyaki , Trader Joe’s unique teriyaki sauce.  It’s the best flavor if you grill the chicken on a bbq (California-style), seriously tastes better than most restaurants!  Top it with your favorite veggies and I always love adding  sliced avocado to my bowls.

Trader Joe's Teriyaki Chicken Bowl Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2-2.5 lbs Boneless & Skinless Chicken Thighs
  • ½ Cup Trader Joe’s Soyaki, plus more for basting
  • 4 Servings of Cooked Rice, or Salad
  • Steamed Vegetables
  • Green Onions, chopped
  • Avocado Slices, optional

Method

  • 1)

    Pour ½ Cup of Trader Joe’s Soyaki into a large bowl, add 2 lbs of Chicken Thighs, toss to make sure all the pieces are coated in the sauce. Cover and marinate for 2 hours or overnight.

  • 2)

    Heat up a gas BBQ grill, using med-high heat on one side. If you have a charcoal BBQ grill, arrange the charcoal under half of the grill. Lightly oil the grate and sear chicken about 3-4 minutes per side until it turns golden brown. Baste the chicken few times with Soyaki sauce. Move the pieces to the unlit side, cover the grill and cook until the chicken reaches an internal temp of 165°F.

    *You can also pan grill these on a stovetop

    Cut the chicken into slices. Add rice to serving bowls (or salad), top with veggies, avocado, teriyaki chicken and garnish with chopped green onions. You could also serve the chicken with a salad instead, Enjoy!
